Consumer recommendations are to buy only pressed-wood products with these labels:
U.L.E.F. - ultra-low emitting formaldehyde
N.A.F. - no added formaldehyde
C.A.R.B. - California Air Resources Board Phase 1 or Pase 2 compliant
Hair salons and mortuaries are also at risk.
